Account & privacy
You're in control of your information.
Delete your account
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. Or email support@explorepenny.com from the address on your account.
Request your data or its removal
Email us with the subject “Privacy request” from the address on your account and we'll follow up.
Report a safety concern
Use the report option in the app, or email us. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
Frequently asked questions
How do I enable or disable Cloak Mode?
Cloak Mode hides your marker on the map. You can toggle Cloak Mode on or off directly from the map itself or from your Profile Cosmos (Pluto section) at any time.
To manage precise or approximate location sharing, go to the main Settings menu under Device Settings, where you can allow or disallow location access and update your preferences.
How do I drop my first Penny on the map?
A Penny is a piece of content you leave at a place for others to discover. Open the map, choose the place where you want to leave it, and tap the option to add a Penny. Write or attach what you want to share, choose who can see it, and post.
Precise location is used only with your separate permission. If you have not allowed it, you can still explore the map.
How do I delete my account or request data removal?
In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account and follow the steps. You can also email support@explorepenny.com from the email address on your account.
Note that a paid plan bought through Apple or Google is cancelled in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions, not by deleting your account. Details on what we keep and for how long are in our Privacy Policy.
Where is Explore Penny currently live?
We are launching in Miami first. You can download Penny anywhere the app is available, but the map is richest in Miami. We will add more cities over time.
